Im wearing my mukluks as I type this review. I just got back from a long walk. I bought my pair in the early 90s. They are incredible, wore them for work for 8 years of snow removal and dragging brush to the chipper. Many miles of snow shoeing and winter hiking/backpacking. After all the years the canvas is showing a little wear and the soles are worn and getting stiff. I can honestly say they are my favorite outdoor apparel purchase EVER! Ill be ordering a new pair soon and keeping these for back-ups. PS my wife loves hers also. THANKS FOR THE GREAT PRODUCT!

Best winter footwear

I live in Alaska and bought my Mukluks back in 2010. These boots in my opinion are the best pack boots on the market for remote cold weather work. I have used these books from Utgiaqvik Barrow, the Brooks Range, Fairbanks, Anchorage, Hatchers Pass, Valdez, Gulkana Glacier, Nabensa, etc. in varying conditions from -40F to 30F back packing, collecting data and staying fairly stationary, snow machining, to hanging around a bonfire with good company and beer. These boots are fully capable as long as you know their limitations. They are great for a dry cold, but do require waterproofing if you intend to use them in a wetter environment. If you are in the Pacific North West with a lot of rain these boots might not be the best option but depending on what you use to waterproof them they could work. Hope this helps and have fun out there and stay safe.

Ive had a pair of these for years, if its below freezing, this is your boot. Winter camping, ice fishing, hunting, or hiking your feet will be warm.
